We pulled these shots on a job out in Cypress, 77433, this week, and they’re a good example of why the inside of a duct system matters more than most people figure.
The first pair looks straight down a flexible duct run feeding one of the bedrooms. Before we started, the inner liner had that gray film and loose debris you get after years of air pushing dust through the same tube. After the brush and negative-air pass, the foil is back to its real color and the airway is open again. Same duct, same camera angle, about twenty minutes apart.
The second pair is the main supply plenum, right where the air leaves the furnace. You can see the electric heat strips through the opening at the far end. In the “before,” the floor of that plenum is coated in settled dust and lint, and that’s the air that gets pushed into every room in the house first. After cleaning, the duct board reads clean gray again and there’s nothing sitting on the surface waiting to blow back out.
A few honest notes, since these come up on every call:
Cleaning a plenum like this isn’t a thirty-dollar vent vacuuming. It’s the supply trunk, the returns, and the runs, done with the right equipment. We tell you what the job costs before we start, so there’s no surprise add-on once a tech is standing in your hallway. If the system only needs a partial cleaning, we’ll say that too.
If you’re in Cypress or anywhere across the north Houston metro and you’ve got dust settling fast, weak airflow, or a system nobody has touched in years, this is what a real cleaning looks like.
